Deputy Canine Retirement — A special ceremony was held today at Washington Place for one of the Public Safety Sheriff Division’s finest canines. Sheriff Deputies along with other law enforcement officials gathered for the retirement of Deputy Canine Drikus who served in the Sheriff Division from 2002 until last month.

WOMEN INMATES PERFORM “PRISON MONOLOGUES” SERIES –Five Inmates from the Women’s Community Correctional Center (WCCC) presented a special performance of “Prison Monologues” today in WCCC’s Maunawili Courtyard. “Prison Monologues” is a dramatic presentation of the women’s writings that they perform at schools and other organizations around Oahu.

TEN HALAWA CORRECTIONAL FACILITY INMATES RECEIVE GED DIPLOMAS –Ten inmates housed at the Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF) are now one step closer to reintegrating back into society. A cap and gown graduation ceremony was held today at the facility where the ten men were handed their GED diplomas.
